Our most-traveled? One of us has visited 51 U.S. States or Territories, and another has visited 25 foreign countries.

In Memory of Timothy Slaterbeck

|
Timothy O. Slaterbeck, 45, died Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at his home in Starkville, Miss.
Tim moved to Starkville from Fredericksburg in 1991, after receiving his bachelor's and master's degrees in English from Virginia Tech. Shortly after his arrival, he decided to embrace a vocation in nursing and became a registered nurse, graduating from the nursing program at Mississippi University for Women. He worked as an RN for Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, Miss., and most recently in the Emergency Room department of OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville. He was a good and caring nurse, and took great satisfaction in being able to help people, especially when they needed it most.
Tim is survived by his spouse of 21 years, Dr. Pasquale Cinnella; mother Ms. Frances Wellons Slaterbeck; brother Dr. Andrew Slaterbeck; sister-in-law Deanna; niece Casey and nephew Forrest.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 27, at Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, Starkville.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the College of Arts and Sciences at Virginia Tech will be appreciated.
