| I want to thank each person on the re-union committee for all the hours of work you gave planning and organizing such a terrific weekend. Twenty-five years, Wow, unbelievable! It was a wonderful weekend rekindling friendships and reflecting on our high school memories. I had a great time catching up on friendships and making some new ones. Thanks again for the fantastic job and for bringing back those high school memories!
And yes, thanks for the RAW MEAT memories! |

| THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE WAS RECEIVED FROM ALUMNUS CRAIG KONICKI ON 10/19/2009:
I wanted to personally thank each of you for the many hours and meetings I know you had to go through to organize such a great event. I felt the reunion was very well organized, and you could tell your hearts were in each minute of time to help rekindle friendships and just for a moment, take us all back to ponder our high school memories. I had such a good time catching up on the many friendships I had throughout high school and hopefully can continue these connections. Thanks again, you all did such a fantastic job!

| Letter from Senator R. Edward Houck, former CHS Asst. Principal -- by: Barbara (Little) Branham | Oct. 19, 2009 - 5:43:22PM | |
|
| THE FOLLOWING LETTER WAS RECEIVED FROM SENATOR R. EDWARD HOUCK, OUR FORMER ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL. THIS LETTER WAS READ AS PART OF THE OPENING REMARKS DURING OUR REUNION & DANCE ON SATURDAY, 10/17/2009:
"Thank you for the invitation to attend your 25-Year Reunion. Unfortunately, due to my own reunion in Southwest Virginia, I will be unable to join you for this special occasion.
The year, 1984, was a very special year. 1984 was part of the golden era and the beginning of Courtland High School. We were a new school trying to make a mark in academics and in athletics. Without question, we succeeded on all accounts. I am proud of the legacy we created and is still followed to this day.
Furthermore, 1984 was a special year for me personally. In the fall of 1983, I was elected to the Virginia State Senate. I began my first term in January 1984. Twenty-five years later, I am still in Richmond working hard for high schools in our area. We should all be proud!
Please know that I think of all you frequently. I have many fond memories of our times together. Hopefully, our paths will cross in the future. With best wishes and warm regards, I remain"
Sincerely,
R. Edward Houck, Senate of Virginia, 17th Senatorial District |

| Wow, what a great 25-Year Reunion “Weekend Celebration!” Several classmates flew in from across the country while many drove for hours to attend our "Weekend Celebration." Thanks to everyone for their support & participation.
Please be sure to keep your profiles up-to-date on this Reunion website for future messages & events.
As you can see from our Class List, we are still trying to locate classmates and appreciate your continued assistance with this.
Thanks for the “RAW MEAT” memories!
Cheers, “Little Barb” |
